ENSURING HEALTH AND HYGIENE FOR SAFE MOTHERHOOD IN TRIBAL VILLAGES, SAHARSA, BIHAR (EHSAS)
Project EHSAS is a sustainable health initiative in Bihar’s Saharsa District, aimed at improving the well-being of mothers and children in 15 villages. It directly supports 680 mothers and their young children, promotes economic self-sufficiency through 30 Self-Help Groups, and empowers 15 Adolescent Girls Groups with health and hygiene education over three years.

The “Arise” project empowers 90 women and girls in Varanasi’s slums by providing skills in domestic work, street vending, and tailoring. This initiative aims to promote economic independence, improve livelihoods, and inspire self-reliance, leading to upward mobility for the participants and their families.
SLUMS TO SCHOOL: A NEW BEGINNING FOR THE CHILDREN IN THE
SLUMS OF VARANASI
The Slums to School project, initiated by the Varanasi Province of the Indian Missionary Society (IMS), is dedicated to providing children from the slums of Varanasi with the opportunity to break free from the cycle of poverty, exploitation, and child labor. This initiative specifically targets children engaged in begging, rag-picking, scrap collection, and child labor, aiming to offer them access to basic education and prepare them for a brighter future.
