Very often it happens that the health in-charges of the area refuse to come down to slums because people are dirty and are stubborn. It was part of our intention to link these women with government run program and make the gov machinery accountable and gov benefits reach to these women. Initially we had to face lots of resistance from the health workers. When the administration found that the slum women follow us to the hospitals and not their staffs, the administration started taking our help instructed their staff to support us. On 29/08/23 a training of the health workers from areas of our intervention on how to deal with slum women and liasoning with our animators was conducted at the district administration level. 24 health workers and our animators attended the program. Today we find that there is a lot of collaboration and support by the system.
